Hannah Eiwen

Delusional but real. What would life be without a bit of fun and silliness? It’s hard enough already, music shouldn’t make it more difficult. No, not suppressing one’s emotions and experiences, but rather feeling and accepting them as they come and go and then twisting it by pouring a bit of hope and joy into it. That’s Hannah’s aim with her songwriting. Yes, you can be a little bit delusional while also keeping it real.

Starting out on her own, writing songs in her bedroom with her guitar and recording it on her phone, Hannah, not too long ago, gained the help of the duo ‘Plain Vanilla’ – Christian Eiwen (bassist) and Peter Rabenau (pianist), who arrange and produce the songwriter’s work. Hannah’s all about keeping it raw and real, writing about her own experiences – the good and the bad, but twisting the songs in way that there’s still hope to it; fun and delusional.

Her sound is influenced by indie-pop, infused with a bit funk. Lyrics vary from silly to serious, German and English. Hannah’s style is like Lizzy McAlpine’s crossed with the German indie band JEREMIAS.

Hannah released her first song “blaue augen” two years ago only on Youtube. Together with Plain Vanilla, Hannah is planning on recording and producing a bunch of new songs she’s written over the past few years. Her first official single “try it out” will come out on 12.07. – buckle up, kids. It’s going to be a wild, but fun ride.
